The Seethi Haji Centre for Charities provides free cancer treatment and dialysis to the underprivileged of the Malabar region, founded and chaired by P. K. Basheer in memory of his father.
After losing both his father and his daughter to cancer, P. K. Basheer resolved that no family in Edavanna should face the disease without care, whatever their means.
Founded in honour of his father, P. Seethi Haji (Member of the Legislative Assembly, former Government Chief Whip, and philanthropist), the Seethi Haji Centre for Charities has, since 2008, carried that legacy of humanitarian service across the Malabar region. As its Chairman, P. K. Basheer oversees both the Cancer Detection & Treatment Centre and the Dialysis Centre.

To bring cutting-edge medical care to underprivileged individuals (particularly those affected by cancer and kidney disease), bridging the gap in healthcare accessibility.
In Edavanna, a rural region of Kerala, the centre brings free, accessible cancer care to patients who could never otherwise afford it. From early screening to chemotherapy, every service is offered without charge to the underprivileged.
A dedicated radiation unit and pathology laboratory are planned for the near future.

The vision is to extend the service to multiple locations across the Ernad constituency, so that no kidney patient is left without care.
